CBOT soybean meal rose, the benchmark period closed about 0.70% higher

On June 30, according to media reports, the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) soybean meal futures market closed up moderately on Thursday, with the benchmark period closing about 0.70% higher.

The weekly export sales report released by the USDA showed that for the week ending June 22, 2023, net sales of soybean meal in the United States for 2022/23 were 104,800 tons, which was 23% lower than the previous week and 55% lower than the four-week average. .

Net sales for 2023/24 are at 68,700 tonnes, compared with 11,100 tonnes a week ago. Soymeal sales totaled 173,500 tonnes, within the market’s expected range, traders said.

Volume in soymeal futures was estimated at 122,075 lots Thursday, compared with 163,322 lots in the previous session. The volume of empty positions was 485,093 lots, compared with 491,641 lots in the previous trading day.
