CBOT soybean meal falls on improved rains

On June 29, according to media reports, the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) soybean meal futures market closed down on Wednesday, with the benchmark period closing down by about 1.90%.

The most actively traded December futures range was between $375.30 and $386. The USDA will release its weekly export sales report on Thursday.

Analysts forecast soybean meal sales of 50,000 to 400,000 tonnes in the week ended June 22, compared with 146,400 tonnes a week earlier.

Volume in soymeal futures was estimated at 163,322 lots Wednesday, compared with 168,410 lots in the previous session. The volume of empty positions was 491,641 lots, compared with 505,064 lots in the previous trading day.
