European stock futures were slightly lower in early trading on Friday, as the optimism from Thursday’s rebound faded ahead of the close of November.
Eurostoxx futures were down 0.2%, with individual major indices showing similar declines:
German DAX futures were down 0.2%.
French CAC 40 futures dropped 0.2%.
UK FTSE futures edged down 0.1%.
After a strong performance yesterday, European markets are facing a setback on the final trading day of the month. For November, the performance has been generally lackluster, with the DAX being the only major index to show notable strength. The DAX’s resilience is attributed to domestic factors, particularly political developments in Germany.
Across the Atlantic, U.S. futures are seeing gains, led by tech stocks following the Thanksgiving holiday. S&P 500 futures are up 0.2%, while Nasdaq futures have gained 0.4%. Dow futures, however, are flat as investors await the session ahead.
