ICE cotton falls for 4th day, rains boost output outlook

by Joy

On June 27, according to media reports, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) cotton futures fell on Monday, of which the benchmark December cotton futures closed down 1.03%, closing at the lowest price this year. Favorable rains in the cotton belt over the weekend boosted production prospects.

But a weaker dollar limited cotton’s losses. The president of Wanner Brokerage Company in Cleveland, USA said that the weather over the weekend is quite favorable for cotton, which is the main reason for the decline in cotton prices.
