ICE Cotton Futures Shifts Positions to Months

On June 25, according to media reports, as the July contract ushered in the first notification day on Monday, the December contract will become the focus.

The big news for the cotton market in the week ahead will be the USDA’s June acreage report due at 00:00 on July 1.

This will be the first time the USDA has updated its acreage estimate since the planting intentions report was released at the end of March, and it will also affect production expectations in the July supply and demand report.

In addition to the acreage report, the crop growth report, export sales report and weather forecast for the Southwest will continue to be in focus.
