CBOT Soybean Meal Futures Fall, with Benchmark Contract Down 1%

On May 25th, Wednesday, the CBOT (Chicago Board of Trade) soybean meal futures market closed down, with the benchmark contract down 1.03%. The most active July contract traded between $400.70 and $410.60. The USDA will release its weekly export sales report on Thursday. Analysts estimate that soybean meal sales for the week ended May 18 were between 150,000 to 550,000 metric tons, compared to 291,500 tons a week ago. On Wednesday, the estimated trading volume for soybean meal futures was 117,615 contracts, up from 114,097 contracts the previous trading day. Open interest was 479,805 contracts, compared to 476,215 contracts the previous day.
