FBM KLCI Futures Decline in Early Trade

Kuala Lumpur, August 23 – FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures experienced a decline in early trading on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives. As of 9:20 AM, the August 2024 contract fell by 5.0 points to 1,644.5. The September 2024 contract decreased by 6.0 points to 1,625.0, while the December 2024 contract dropped 2.0 points to 1,629.0. The March 2025 contract also saw a decline, falling 5.5 points to 1,617.5.

Turnover reached 1,333 lots, with open interest at 46,755 contracts. The FBM KLCI index itself lost 5.0 points, settling at 1,636.66, down from yesterday’s close of 1,641.66 after 43 minutes of trading.
