FBM KLCI Futures Decline in Early Trade

KUALA LUMPUR, August 21 — The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures saw a decline in early trading on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives.

As of 9:23 AM, August 2024 and September 2024 futures dropped by 7.5 points, settling at 1,651.5 and 1,631.0, respectively. The December 2024 contract also fell by 7.0 points to 1,636.0. Conversely, the March 2025 futures inched up by 1.0 point to 1,623.0.

Trading volume reached 1,374 lots, with open interest recorded at 47,103 contracts.

The FBM KLCI index declined by 4.62 points to 1,638.15, compared to the previous close of 1,642.77, following 44 minutes of trading.
