Dairy Market Update: Milk Futures and Cash Dairy Prices

August 15 – The dairy markets saw mostly higher prices for milk futures and cash dairy products on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

September Class III Milk Futures: Increased by 21 cents to $21.34.

October: Rose 9 cents to $21.66.

November: Gained 13 cents to $21.13.

December through February Contracts: Showed minor fluctuations, with changes ranging from a penny higher to 6 cents lower.

Cash Dairy Products

Dry Whey: Decreased by $0.0025 to $0.56.

Cheddar Cheese Blocks: Increased by $0.0075 to $2.0275.

Cheddar Cheese Barrels: Rose by $0.0050 to $2.1650.

Butter: Remained unchanged at $3.12.

Nonfat Dry Milk: Up by $0.01 to $1.2425.

The overall trend in milk futures and cash dairy prices reflects a generally positive sentiment in the dairy market, with most futures and dairy products seeing upward movement.
